Today I made fake blood with my team, we also got our props we need so next week we are going to film with our props we have been working. 4 weeks gone and already we have already done woohoo

Festival of the arts

Today we were filming a horror scene outside. Next week we are going to get our props and film more. I was filming with Sophie, Azaliah and me.

1. palm oil is tree that can be harvested all year round

2. Palm oil in many countries is used as a simple frying oil, but many other markets make use of both palm and palm kernel oil.

3. to get palm oil you have to get fruit that is hard to get.


4. palm oil is bad because lots of people want it and is is killing the animals in the forests and they are burning the forest down. this is a pic of what the people are doing to the animals in the forest.

Organ Functions #2

Intestines: its job is to absorb most of the nutrients from what we eat and drink.The large intestine (colon or large bowel) is about 5 feet long and about 3 inches in diameter. The colon absorbs water from wastes, creating stool. 

Bladder: The urinary bladder is a muscular sac in the pelvis, just above and behind the pubic bone. When empty, the bladder is about the size and shape of a pear.

Pancreas: Enzymes, or digestive juices, are secreted by the pancreas into the small intestine. There, it continues breaking down food that has left the stomach.

1. the Heart: The blood provides your body with the oxygen and nutrients it needs. The right side of your heart receives blood from the body and pumps it in to the lungs.

2. the brain: Your brain contains billions of nerve cells. the brain is the organ that helps you function and lean.


3. the lungs: The lung is what makes you breath and do other things like athletics.

4. the kidney: The kidneys are two bean-shaped organs, each about the size of a fist.

5. the liver: with the help of vitamin k the liver produces proteins that
are important in blood clotting.

Today we put our posters around the school and all we need to do now is put our stuff together then it will be time for business enterprise.

2. Unicorn fish are found in coral reefs, patch reef, and rocky tropical areas of the Indian and pacific oceans and red sea and they live nearby Hawaii and japan

3. Bowfin are found in Mississippi river

Being a vet for a day

Date: Wednesday June 7th
Lo: By the end of the lesson I will know what the anatomy of a fish is and the processes required to be followed for the dissection.
Aim: I want to find out/know were the anatomy of the fish is located and to be able to correctly dissect a fish.

What jobs do vets actually do.
A vet is a medical professional who protects the health and well-being of both animals and people. they can control animal diseases and treat sick and injured animals.

How does a vets job actually involve science.
testing of blood and tissue, diagnosing health issues based on lab report findings.

Ice Cream

Date: Wednesday 31/5/2017

Lo: create a detailed plan for making ice cream.

Aim: how to make ice cream with out a freezer 

Equipment: 

1 large plastic bag

crushed ice 

2 zip lock bags 

sugar

1/4 milk

1/4 cream 

vanilla extract 

gloves 

rock salt 

Method:

1. fill the large plastic bag half full with crushed ice and add 6 teaspoons of rock salt.

2. mix it all together with your gloves on.

3. mix 1/4 cup of milk and cream 1 teaspoon of sugar 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla in a bag 

4. seal the bag the but it in another bag.

5. mix your stuff for 20 minutes 

6. remove the bag from the other bag enjoy.

How does a zoologist use science in their job?

Zoologists are life scientists who study animals, observing them in the laboratory and in their natural habitat. They study the origin and development of species as well as their habits, behaviors and interactions. Zoologists, who also research the development of animal diseases, sometimes known as animal scientists or animal biologists because zoology is the branch of biology that deals with the animal kingdom.

How does a vet use science in their job?
Veterinary Science is vital to the study and protection of animal production practices, herd health and monitoring spread of widespread disease 

How dose a food chemist use science in their job?
Food scientists work with food chemistry to develop new ways to use and combine ingredients. They study the chemistry of the food to determine the properties of each food component and how it functions in the final food product. Working with natural and artificial ingredients, they develop stabilizers, flavorings, and new ways to combine and present foods

How does a Research scientist use science in their job?
Research Scientists use their scientific expertise to support research projects and recommend scientific approaches and solutions to oilfield industry challenges. Solutions may be at the client, product, project, or research level
